Pupil Premium and Sports premium

Pupil Premium

The pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is a Government initiative introduced in April 2011 that targets extra money at disadvantaged pupils, which research shows underachieve compared to non-disadvantaged pupils. The premium is provided in order to support these pupils in reaching their potential and closing the gap between them and their peers. It is paid by means of a specific grant based on school a number of pupils registered as eligible for free school meals.

Please find below reports on how we spent our Pupil Premium awards in the last two years and the impact it has had on pupil progress:

PE and Sports Premium

The PE and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.

Schools must spend the funding to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils, but they are free to choose the best way of using the money. Schools receive PE and Sport Premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6.

Click on the documents below to see how we have spent our PE funding, and how it has benefited our pupils.
