Important notice: Planned Industrial Action in December School
Staff who are members of the National Education Union (NEU) have announced planned industrial action on several days in December 2025. This is in relation to pay, conditions and policies. The first day of industrial action is scheduled for Wednesday 3 December. As a result, the school will be closed to all pupils and staff on this date. We have followed all processes and worked closely with the union, the local authority and HR specialist advisers to find a resolution and avoid disruption – unfortunately an agreement was not reached. We are disappointed that despite our best efforts strike action will go ahead. This will have a profound impact on all our pupils who receive specialist care as staff affected will not be available to work. This decision has not been taken lightly and we apologise for the inconvenience this will have on families. The wellbeing of our pupils remains our highest priority, and we are working to minimise the impact on their education. We have informed all parents and carers that teaching staff who are members of the National Education Union (NEU) have announced planned industrial action on several days between now and the end of term. Further industrial action has been planned for the following dates:
Wednesday 10 December
Thursday 11 December
Wednesday 17 December
Thursday 18 December
Friday 19 December
We are continuing discussions with the NEU and will keep families updated on whether action will go ahead on these dates. Updates will be shared as soon as possible, and we encourage you to check your emails and the school website regularly
