Here at Woodlands we have a dedicated team of multi disciplinary specialists that work collaboratively with staff, parents and the children in order for additional programmes to be followed.

 

Occupational Therapy

Following assessment may offer advice, therapy programmes and/or treatment on:

• Seating and positioning

• Hand function, including hand splints and stretching

• Equipment provision, including slings, static chairs, utensils

• Self-care skills to include: dressing, bathing, toileting and eating/drinking

• Use of Assistive Technology including computer accessibility and the placement and use of switches

• Advice on aids and minor adaptations for use in school

• Advice and training to school staff on sensory modulation for pupils
