STEM day at Woodlands School.

On Friday 19th April we had  STEM topic day to celebrate ScienceTechnologyEngineering and Maths at Woodlands School. Pupils took part in different activities to engage with on the day, these will be related to the British Science Week theme of time as well as our topics for the half-term (Water and Ancient World).

We made sand timers out of recycled bottles, took part in role-play activities including dressing up as a roman soldier and mummifying each other with tissue. We used switches to activate the equipment on a timer. in the sensory room. The hall was set up with trampoline's and timers where we did lots of jumping before our time ran out. Lastly we had an amazing British Science Ambassador leading sensory sessions with water in different states in our outdoor classroom.
