Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Level 1

 

Starting Salary - £21,762 pro rata (Harrow pay scale G4)

 

Contract type: permanent and fixed term up to 19.7.20; 32.5h/week, term time only (39 weeks)

  Commencement date: as soon as possible

 

Would you like a new challenge in an outstanding Special School for students and pupils between the ages of 3-11 with a range of Special Educational Needs in a friendly, supportive school, committed to team work and joint curriculum planning?

 

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Positive attitude
  • Experience and passion for working with children
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • A commitment to high expectations to meet the needs of all children

 

Experience of working in a school or with children with special needs is desirable but not essential

 

Hours of work will be 8.45 a.m. – 3.45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 8.45 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday

 

Closing date for applications is 07.02.2020 noon

Stage 1 and 2 of the interviews will be held on 12.02.2020. Candidates will have to be available for the whole day of the interview.

  • Significant experience of working with children, in a special needs  learning environment
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent), or are working towards HLTA or similar qualification (any permanent job offers will be subject to completion of the HLTA qualification)
