Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Level 1 and Level 2

 

Starting Salary: LEVEL 1: £21,762 pro rata (Harrow pay scale G4, actual salary from £16,733)

and

LEVEL 2: £23,371 pro-rata (Harrow pay scale G5, actual salary from £18,045)

Contract type: permanent and 1 year contract; 32.5h/week, term time only (39 weeks)

Commencement date: May/June 2020

 

We are an outstanding Special School for students and pupils between the ages of 3-11 with a range of Special Educational Needs. At Woodlands you will find a friendly, supportive team focusing on team work and joint curriculum planning.

 

We are looking for adaptable, energetic and motivated people to work at our outstanding school. In this exciting role you will be supporting our children with learning difficulties to develop new skills, learn and progress in their social skills. A strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults is essential.

Relevant experience is desirable but the right attitude and work skills are essential. Numerous free courses are offered to support staff career development.

 

Hours of work will be 8.45 a.m. – 3.45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 8.45 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Positive attitude
  • Experience and passion for working with children
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team and to lead others
  • A commitment to high expectations to meet the needs of all children.
  • Experience of working with children, in a special needs  learning environment
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent), or are working towards HLTA or similar qualification (any permanent job offers will be subject to completion of the HLTA qualification)
